The ALLMI Appointed Person (AP) course is the only accredited AP training programme in the UK to be dedicated to lorry loader lifting operations. The course is fully compliant with the requirements of the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and BS7121 Part 4: 2010. The course is either two or three days in duration (depending on experience), with candidates also having the option of attending an additional Foundation course beforehand, if they feel the extra tuition is required. Assessments include:
As well as on-going support from ALLMI, successful candidates receive a range of electronic documents that will assist them in their role as an AP. Successful candidates also receive an identity card and certificate, and are registered on the ALLMI database. Click here to see the ALLMI identity card and certificate. The identity card and certificate are valid for five years, after which time refresher training and assessments need to be undertaken. The strength and quality of ALLMI’s AP training course comes from the experience and knowledge of its AP Working Group members. The Working Group is made up of representatives from a variety of the UK’s leading training providers and fleet owners, as well as the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and the United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG). |
