In order to become accredited by ALLMI to deliver the Slinger / Signaller course, you must first be ALLMI accredited for lorry loader training. Click here for information on ALLMI Instructor accreditation. Once this has been achieved, you must:
- Hold a current Slinger / Signaller qualification
- Request the course documents from ALLMI - All Instructors will be supplied with Instructor notes, assessment papers and a PowerPoint presentation containing 122 slides. Flip charts and training videos are also available.
- Undergo an audit on the first course you deliver - Once you have familiarised yourself with the course content and you have arranged your first course, you will need to contact ALLMI so that an auditing visit can be arranged. Please note that it must be your very first course which is audited. It is advisable that you arrange your first course date in conjunction with ALLMI so that the availability of an ALLMI auditor can be ensured. Please note that this audit will be charged at £275 (regardless of the number of Instructors your company has accredited by ALLMI) and that only one Instructor can be audited on one day. Upon successful completion of the audit, you will be issued with an ALLMI Instructor Card stating your accreditation for delivering both Lorry Loader Operator training and Slinger / Signaller training. You will also be issued with a certificate stating your Instructor status for Slinger / Signaller training.
For every Instructor registering for ALLMI Slinger / Signaller Accreditation, there will be a charge of £40 to cover the costs of course materials and administration.
If you would like to see the course delivered by another Instructor before you undergo your audit, you can attend a course as a candidate. If this is of interest then please contact ALLMI for further details.
